Dr. Richard Scholz

Head of Impact Analysis WifOR Institute

As head of the research field and member of the leadership team, Dr. Richard Scholz is responsible for Impact Analysis at WifOR. His mission is to set standards in impact measurement and evaluation so that data becomes transparent and comparable worldwide.

Among Dr. Scholz’s clients are multinational companies, development banks, associations, and foundations worldwide. His team deploys macroeconomic analysis to determine the impacts of corporate activities – from the extraction of raw materials to the finished sales product. This research forms the basis for sustainable decisions in politics, business, and society.

Dr. Scholz completed his doctorate at the University of Leipzig. In his dissertation, he investigated the effects of industrialization and manufacturing on growth in African economies. At the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, he lectures on the opportunities available to companies through sustainable development. Additionally, he serves as an observing member of the Valuation Technical & Practitioner Committee.
