2. Calculation
Analyses and forecasts based on WifOR’s own database for the years 2014 to 2030

3. Get your results
Breakdown of results – e.g., by product group, purchasing area, region, supplier, or supply chain stage
The WifOR database covers 188 countries and 56 sectors and is updated regularly throughout the year to reflect the latest data and inflation rates.

Example: Double Materiality Assessment under CSRD
When preparing its double materiality assessment for CSRD, Mitsubishi Chemical Europe faced challenges that many companies share:
- The assessment was mainly based on qualitative judgments without a transparent scoring logic.
- Even topic experts struggled to clearly identify impacts, risks, and opportunities (IROs) across the value chain.
- Involving external stakeholders, as required by CSRD, added further complexity.
How WISIT helps
With WISIT, Mitsubishi Chemical Europe was able to complement interviews with quantitative insights. Standardized data and sector benchmarks highlighted key hotspots in the value chain and provided a sound basis for selecting the most relevant ESG topics.
The outcome
A structured and evidence-based double materiality assessment that enhances transparency for internal decision-makers, auditors, and stakeholders – fully aligned with CSRD requirements.
