Senior Researcher – Labor Market (f/m/x)

About WifOR

WifOR is an independent economic research institute, founded in 2009 as a spin-off from the Technical University of Darmstadt. As experts in macroeconomic analysis, our research focuses on the areas of labor markets, health, and sustainability. Through our studies, WifOR’s mission is to enable data-based solutions to challenges on the labor market, set global standards in Impact Measurement, and illuminate the value of health investments worldwide. WifOR has over 75 employees located in Germany, Greece, Latin America, and the USA.

Your tasks
  • Conducting scientific analyses in the areas of labor market and social policy  
  • Independent management of research and consulting projects (including a framework contract with a foundation) in the following fields:
    • Demographics, Digitalization & Future Skills
    • Socio-ecological Transformation
    • Diversity & Inclusion
  • Assisting in the development of dashboards and software tools for labor market research  
  • Communicating and presenting project results to our national and international clients  
  • Proposal management and development of new projects
Your profile
  • Completed university degree in an economical field with empirical focus (e.g., Economics, Business Informatics, Data Science, Social Sciences) – a doctorate is preferred
  • Professional experience in applied economic research, for instance in leading and coordinating multidisciplinary projects and teams  
  • Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and statistical software (e.g., R, Python)  
  • Interest in learning on the job, curiosity, and openness to new ideas
