Health Economy Reporting: A Case Review from Germany
This report reviews a well-established methodology of health economy reporting that quantifies and analyses the health sector‘s economic impact on growth and employment based on national accounts. It focusses on Germany, where health economy reporting is a well-established methodology and broadly applied. The report identifies the strategic opportunity to use the method as a tool for advocacy and capacity building. This enables evidence-based health policy to steer and guide investments for health, employment, as well as inclusive and sustainable growth. It provides a structured approach for governments, private sector and general public stakeholders to better understand the size and impact of the health economy.
